Our journey began when we saw the European gastro-pub trend and thought, “Why not bring this to the South?” We wanted a place where great food, drinks, and a lively atmosphere come together—and so, re-cess was born.

we chose the name "re-cess" because of our close location to the Federal and County Courthouses. We wanted to provide a space for people to take a much-needed break during their busy day.
