At re-cess Southern Gastro-pub, we bring a fresh spin to Southern American cuisine. Located at 118 Bradford Street Northeast in Gainesville, we are proud to offer traditional dishes with a unique twist. Our journey began when we saw the European gastro-pub trend and thought, “Why not bring this to the South?” We wanted a place where great food, drinks, and a lively atmosphere come together—and so, re-cess was born.
Why "re-cess"? 🏖️
We chose the name "re-cess" because of our close location to the Federal and County Courthouses. We wanted to provide a space for people to take a much-needed break during their busy day. Whether you're grabbing a quick bite or enjoying a meal with friends, Recess is the perfect spot to relax and recharge. Our casual, welcoming vibe is all about helping you unwind while enjoying great food and drinks.
